We are Dancing Suns

Hey, I’m glad you’re here.

I’m Corinne — an artist, a coach, a French-Congolese woman, a bee aficionado, and so much more. For years, I’ve known that I wanted to create something that could encompass all parts of me. It took many iterations, many trials and errors. It took the time it needed to.

Today, I’m happy to launch Dikenga!

Dikenga is a space dedicated to nurturing our feminine energy and creativity.

I created this space because I, too, have struggled (and still do) to rest in that energy. Family dynamics, societal conditioning, collective trauma, and extractive capitalistic structures have all stood in the way of its full expression.

That being said, I also recognize how I contributed to feeding false narratives and structures that don’t serve my best interest. I can see now how I fell for the illusion that I had little power to change my perspective and bring both small and big dreams to life. The idea of Dikenga came to me after my first trip to Kinshasa, during a time when I felt depleted and out of alignment.

Dikenga — Kongo Cosmogram

In KiKongo, Dikenga means "the turning" and symbolizes the Kongo cosmogram. This cosmogram, also known as the sun cross, represents a simplified spiral.

Through the symbol of the spiral, it conveys profound teachings about the cycles of life and the celestial origin of humanity.

The Bakongo people believed that human life, much like the sun, evolves through the seasons. They saw life as a continuous journey through cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

At a time of hyper-acceleration and frantic modern pace, these teachings remind us that the promised technological advancement can only take place at the expense of innocent lives and our environment. The Democratic Republic of Congo is a prime example of this.

It is one of the world’s richest countries in terms of natural resources, yet it is considered one of the most dangerous places to live for women and children.

The country’s current situation is the epitome of the parasitic impulse, reflecting a civilization hidden in the shade, turned away from its source of power and divine nature. A civilization that, as a result, harvests resources, lands, and people in order to feed itself and survive. A civilization that gives its power away, convinced it doesn’t have any.

In contrast, these teachings invite us to rediscover the wisdom that lies within us, revealing how our way of living has fallen out of rhythm and become increasingly anti-life.

They remind us that the most sophisticated technology already resides within us.

That the fire of our heart is the compass we need to navigate an uncertain and chaotic world. That within our heart lies the source of our most radiant self.

And when we are in our heart, we can discern between those who love power and use it to dominate, and those who use the power of love to ignite, connect, and create change. Although, we cannot fully access this self-generating, self-sustaining, solar power with the walls we’ve built around our hearts.

Walls that prevent us from witnessing the tragedies and wonders of being human. Walls that suppress the joy, but also the grief we’ve carried for years.

This season of Dikenga will focus on shifting from winter to autumn by dissolving those frozen walls and tending to our grief.

My current services are here for you—whether you still have a womb, or if it was removed due to illness. If you’re someone who carries the weight of abuse, past wars, genocides, humiliation, betrayal, and you're ready to let go of that ancestral emotional baggage, these services are designed to help you begin that journey.

This pain can manifest in conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic pain, and more. If you don’t experience these conditions but feel a deep resonance, feel free to reach out.

I look forward to connecting with you ♡

Corinne
